Great Inner Peace and How It Makes Way For Growth and Change

It’s been 2 long months since my last post. God has been doing some amazing things in both our hearts, namely giving us each such inner peace as we truly trust him with everything.

This peace means everything… It allows for real changes, and room to turn around and face fears, not simply run from them/avoid them all together. To be honest, that’s always been my MO- turning my cheek to the problems to avoid upsetting the boat. Well in the midst of steering out of the path of conflict (both inner and relational), fear and stagnation have stepped in to commandeer my joy.

Light is shining on all the dark places, and for the first time I am seeing all the secret beliefs I cling to of not being good enough exactly for what they are… fears. Lies I have chosen to believe because it seems easier than the alternative. When in reality, the alternative is the only choice that will actually change the course and make way for the open waters of God’s plans. Absolutely, choose faith. Leave fear far behind you once you acknowledge that it is there. If you spend your time running, you won’t be able to recognize the invisible shackles that keep you down, and you will sink deeper than a thousand-pound anchor. Good things, like new opportunity, will scare you. They will appear like deamons. And the bad things, the twisted reality to perceive, will continue to dominate the horizon. You will suffocate.

Trust in the Lord, and he will reveal strength inside of you that you never imagined was there. Because he is the source, we are not. Trust in His plans for you, and it will reveal more of His most generous, loving heart. You will begin to recognize his hand in all things, and this will give you peace.
